Cowboys v. Eagles
I had a good idea for a non-political post that will get a lot of response!
In less than a week the HATED Eagles will be here on our home turf playing the Dallas Cowboys!
Let the trash talking begin!!

The Packers suck.
Hey - Eddie, be nice. Yes, well, I guess they do definitely suck.
A-L: any word on tickets for that game?
unfortunately for my fantasy football team, the packers, and ahman green, really do suck. what the hell happened to that team.
as for this weekend, while i think the game might actually be slightly closer then it should be given the difference in the quality of the two teams, it'll be the eagles. i'd say 24-17 or so. if it was in philly i'd say 35-10. but in dallas coming off a tough win and with dallas coming off an embarrassing loss, 24-17 seems appropriate. GO BIRDS!!!
and i posted this link on another thread, but just for all you philly haters out there, this is in the nations largest travel magazine, National Geographic Traveller:
http://www.nationalgeographic.com/traveler/features/philly0510/philly.html
looks like that link didn't work. but if you are interested go to
http://www.nationalgeographic.com/traveler
and right at the top of the page you will see an article entitled "next great city: philadelphia"
ENJOY!!
RR- I am male and, by definition, am probably not considered nice, at least by female standards.
I will stick with the Bears, their City is far more civilized.
Anyway, thanks AA for the link. However, it still doesn't mean that Philly ISN'T one big poo hole.
on the contrary, i think that's exactly what it means....but i won't say anything about chicago, if that is indeed your city, judging by the fact that you are a bears fan. chicago is the only city in america i like better than philly. great town. great liberal town.
Eddie's from Milwaukee - how can you be a Bears fan?
I am neither a Packers nor Bears fan. The comment was referring to the fact that I am no fan of Green Bay. I can't stand watching the Packers fans on television with big fucking blocks of cheese on their heads, guts hanging out with ugly green painted on them, and all around acting like untamed cavemen (and cavewomen, if that's a word).
At least Chicago has my two favorite companies headquartered their, Boeing and Sears Holdings. Also, the Downtown is tight and the City shows signs of life, unlike Philly, that don't classify any part outside of the South Side as one giant poo-hole.
your moms anus is one giant poo hole
eddie, you are no longer hot in my eyes. i do own a cheesehead that was given to me at the Bush rally the day before the election in Milwaukee. It is a cheese cowboy hat with a Bush/Cheney sticker on it.
CHEESEHATER! You are a pathetic excuse for a wisconsinoin (???)
And yes, I understand I'm a hypocrite for being a packer fan and living in illinois....so save it.
You know, we should all partake in the age old tradition of "consuming your enemy" before battle. Common to many of the "animistic" religions, they would consume something that represents their enemy. In this case, I am not suggesting that we eat an eagle, but I'm thinking a party where we all eat wings while watching the Cowboys (hopefully pull out of their slump and) KICK BUTT!
You are lucky to have attended the rally. I was thinking about attending, but was too lazy to go.
I was born in Ohio and we moved when I was three. I prefer to think of myself as a red-stater Ohioan.
It's Wisconsinite :)
it isnt a slump if you stink smokeeater.
well, now i sort of like you more. i went to undergrad in ohio and love that state!
Proudly born in the armpit of America, Cleveland, OH. The City competes well with Philly for having the most leechy welfare bums.
most leechy welfare bums? let's take a look at the governments most recent unemployment figures.
as of august 2005, philadelphia's unemployment rate was 4.6%. here is a list of cities with an higher rate than philly:
los angeles
milwaukee (for the wisconsinites)
san antonio
dallas
houston
el paso (all for the texans)
denver
san fran
seattle
st. louis
columbus
cinci
cleveland (for the ohioans)
chicago (for the chicagoans)
detroit
atlanta
baltimore
in fact the only city in the top 10 largest cities in america with an unemployment rate lower than that of philly's is phoenix.
keep talking shit people. but in the end we are still gonna win the super bowl this year.
E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!!!!
Metro areas are much different than Cities, my friend. Metro area can cover a large swath of land and population. Throwing in the productive suburbs, for example, of Lancaster County can throw those numbers way off.
I am no fan of the other welfare leechy Cities you listed either, with the exception of Phoenix and the one's in the dirty south.
i know the difference between a metropolitan area and a city and it stands to reason that the "productive suburbs" of philadelphia don't outwork the "productive suburbs" of any of the other major cities.
and for the record, since you continue to bring up lancaster county, that is about 2 hours outside of philadelphia dn no one that i know of would ever claim lancaster county as being a suburb of philadelphia. it's much closer to harrisburg or reading. and it's amish country. they don't even have electricity in places there still.
Yes, but they aren't dependent on the government either in Amish Country.
well it looks like you have two choices my man....amish country or portugal. sounds fun.
Don't forget about Ireland.
Don't worry, I am sure you will become conservative later on in life. You are still young. You will learn.
im 29 my man. and the more i read on this site the further to the left i move.
wasn't this a football thread? go eagles!!!
WOW - How about that score!!!
GO COWBOYS!!
I guess all the Eagles fans need to SHUT IT - they can't say the Cowboys stink anymore... if the Cowboys stink, then just imagine how bad the Eagles SUCK!!!
NO EXCUSES EAGLES FANS... they didn't just lose - they got their ASSES KICKED!!!
Did you see that fat fucker Andy Reid?
I just get sick everytime I look at his fatness.
McNabb looked liked an offensive lineman trying to play quarterback.
TO was shut up.
Great game.
TO's nickname here in Dallas is now B.O. - because he STINKS!!!!!!!!
HA HA HA
I crack myself up!
What a great day!!!!
Will American Idiot show up to eat crow?
i can't say shit this morning. as an eagles fan taht was an embarrassment. laugh it up now though because this is as high as it gets for the cowboys this season.
despite one wretched performance (probably the worst i have seen the eagles play in 5 years) i know i will still have something to cheer for in january. can you all really say the same thing?
but for now i'll just tip my cap and say you guys smoked us yesterday. but revenge is a motherfucker...
Could we please get back to arguing about politics again?
that was a beat down - ALMOST AS BAD AS HOW THE PACKERS SLAUGHTERED THE SAINTS!!! Packers in the Super Bowl baby :)
RR, that's a little too optimistic for a team that's 1-4 and waited until game five to score ALL their points for the season.
The Packers just aren't very good this year and don't have a lot of talent. Where I live, it's ridiculous, people are allowed to dress down on Monday's just because the Packers played on Sunday. It's disgusting how much green and gold I see here.
well eddie - we did start out at 1-4 last season and ended up winning the division...you never know. God may actually decide to be nice to me for once - (he's raining down wrath on me lately)
Do you need a hug?
This post is beginning to get crusty, AL. You act like you work for a living and don't just blog all day.
A-L is extremely stressed out with all the extra stuff she volunteers to do...I don't have sympathy for self-induced stress of that nature :) A-L, able to go out at all this weekend?
Eddie - I don't need a hug, I need a new car!
RR, I'll give you a bus pass to take the bus in Philly instead. Does that work?
I think it might be time for a new post.
Then by all means... feel free to type a post out and I will be glad to post it for you in between my class work, writing my brief, and my oral arguments....
MY POINT: i don't need to be told that I need new posts... I am busy, I am in law school, I have a life.... when I get done with all of my obligations I will be more than happy to start my interesting blogging again!
kthanx
Wow, let's not get testy here. I am 100% on your side of the aisle. Sheesh.
